How do I Uninstall the Program?

  • Enable Aero Theme

  • This Step is very important, in fact one of the most important. Right click on your Desktop and select "Personalize". Then Open the Theme Section and chose "Windows Vista" and click "Apply".

  • Close open Applications

  • If RKLauncher (Dock) is still running, close it now.

  • Remove VistaOSX Folder

  • Go to "C:/" and simply delete the whole "VistaOSX '09" Folder.

  • Uninstall System Files

  • Now the more tricky part. Open the Startmenu and type "cmd" and press enter. The Command Line will open up. type in "sfc /SCANNOW" without the quotes. This process will take some time (up to 30 minutes), so just be patient. Windows will maybe ask you to put in your Vista DVD. After the process is finished, close the command line and reboot.

  • Restore Icon Cache

  • 1. Right-click on the Desktop.
    2. Select Personalize and select Display Settings.
    3. Change the Color from 32 bit to 16 bit and click Apply.
    4. Change the Color back to 32 bit and click Apply.

  • Finish

  • To Finish all Steps, just Reboot again now. If you want to apply 3rd Party Themes, you will need to patch your UXtheme again.
